The world of radio was conceived by Walter Benjamin as a new and mysterious plane of existence—a dimension which is lead by the ear, and in which the eye hath no power. Using Marshall McLuhan's distinction between the two senses, the Radio World would allow for that deep subjectivity which is destroyed by ocular examination.

In 2018, radio has no less ancient a character than pretechnological oral and aural traditions. With the omnipresence of video and text, we are in an age of constant visual overstimulation. FFHKS presents "Radio World" as a momentary glimpse, or more accurately, a faint whisper of a distinct way of perceiving and being-in the world. For best results, listeners are encouraged to close and cover their eyes for the full duration of the album.
